Wellbeing Whispers

Wellbeing Whispers Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic was established in June 2006 as a health centre dedicated to the practice of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Our services include herbal medicine, traditional acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, modern acupuncture, Modern Tongue Diagnosis (MTD), reflexology, Tui Na massage (traditional Chinese therapeutic massage) , Taiji, detox programmes, and dietary recommendations. We focus not only on acupuncture & herbal treatment but also on providing advice on healthy eating and teaching Taiji and Yoga methods to support a healthy, happy, and balanced lifestyle.

Since 2014, I have been practising Modern Tongue Diagnosis (MTD). MTD enables virtual online diagnosis, which is highly convenient for today’s fast-paced lifestyle. This method combines the study of the human body’s position and posture as they appear holographically on the tongue. Its foundations are rooted in tow classical texts: the ancient Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Empire’s Inner Canon) and the Ao Shi Shang Han Jin Jing Lu from the Yuan Dynasty.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there are four diagnostic methods: observation, listening/smelling & inspection, inquiry, and pulse-taking. Tongue diagnosis falls under the observation, as changes in tongue’s appearance reflect disorders within the body’s organs and meridians. Diagnosis and differentiation based on the tongue can be performed accurately even without patient stating chief complaint.  By understanding the core of the symptoms, the principle behind acupuncture and herbal treatment become clear and more effective.
