Tuina (Acupressure Massage)

Tuina (Chinese: 按摩; pinyin: an mo) is an Ancient healing art and uses the same meridians as the acupuncture points. They can be used at the same time .
Tuina involves using the hands or elbows to press on the points at the surface of the body to stimulate the body’s own natural healing process. When these points are stimulated, they release tension and increase the bodies’ circulation of Blood to nourish that part of the body.

Tuina also works on the local muscles, by pushing and plucking the area, this helps to break down the adhesions and scar tissue at the local level to increase the flow of Qi (oxygen) and Blood to carry away damaged tissue.

Acupressure is commonly used during Tunia massage. It is particularly effective in healing and dispelling conditions such as stress, muscles strain, sports injury, headaches, back and shoulder problems.
